History

Originally founded in Abingdon in 1885 the Practice passed through three generations of West family before merging to form West Waddy in 1986.  A further merger with Associated Design Partnership, Oxford in 1999 has created a multi-disciplinary practice West Waddy ADP.  
 
The three Partners, Philip Waddy, John Ashton and Stephen Simkins, lead the team of Architects, Planners, Masterplanners, Urban Designers and support staff to provide an integrated approach to client work.
 
West Waddy ADP operates from its riverside studio offices in the market town of Abingdon, Oxfordshire.  With a well-established reputation for good design and creative problem solving, our client base is broad and varied. Our project portfolio includes: education, healthcare and commercial properties; residential developments; renovation and conservation work on historic buildings; specialist planning consultancy, including appeals and public inquiries; masterplanning and urban design initiatives.  The Practice has maintained a high profile in the industry, attracting high calibre work and fostering strong working relationships with clients and consultants alike.
