The Bishop of Reading, Rt Revd Andrew Proud, officially opened the new All Saints Community Hall at Didcot in 2012 . The new hall replaced a former single storey prefabricated structure that was in a poor state of repair and attracting vandalism.
Construction was dependent upon a community fund raising initiative as well as grant assistance from various sources.
The new facility incorporates a main multi function hall plus auxiliary meeting rooms, kitchen and toilet facilities. It also includes a number of low carbon technologies including rain water recycling and a ground source heat pump located beneath the car park, connected to an underfloor heating system.
Where possible maintenance free materials have been specified for both the interior and exterior of the building.
